…and 3 months later, sheetrock went in! Building a house is a slooooow process. I can't even tell you exactly what has happened the last 3 months. It was something like plumbing, electric, permits, repeat? Anyway, we are finally moving forward. Again. The sheetrock went in and what a difference it has made. Here are a few recent pictures.

Guest room. You can't tell here, but our guest room is pretty great.
You have to step up a few steps to this room and there is a huge tree out the window.
Brian and I refer to it as the treehouse. ;) |

This week, we finalized our trim and ordered our tile and backsplash (we had to wait for sheetrock to go in for accurate measurements). In the next few days, I am headed to Sherwin Williams to get paint samples and next week, Tara and I are headed to choose our counter slabs.

This is the trim we chose to go around our door frames.

Meanwhile, we have had a busy summer over here! Emma just wrapped up her first season on the swim team. She is a little fish! We are so proud of her hard work and bravery.
We took the kids to their first Roughriders/baseball game! They loved it and we decided this was the perfect baseball venue for their ages. They even got to run the bases at the end. :)

We went to Rosemary Beach with some good friends. Here are only a few of the 4,000 pictures I took.
Luke turned FOUR while we were at the beach. We celebrated his birthday with a Lightening McQueen beach party at his request. This year he asked for a Sea Patroller (paw patrol toy), a Paw Patrol boat and a Lightening McQueen beach towel. He also loves his lego set and shark blanket from Jack and Lila. ;)
We came home and only a few days later celebrated the Fourth of July with our annual neighborhood parade, swimming at the pool, and some
illegal fireworks in the backyard with daddy.
Last weekend, we went to Lake Murray, OK with my dad's side of the family for our annual "Thornton Family Fiasco." Emma and Luke loved on their sweet Great Gran T the whole weekend!
Whew. I can't believe we are only 6 weeks away from Emma starting kindergarten!!! Where is the time going?! We still have a few things to check off our bucket list this summer!!
XOXO,
Lexi
